Hierkommiebokkie stepped up in class and distance at Turffontein on Thursday, 11 July, and was even more impressive over 1450m than she was when winning her Highveld debut over 1200m recently.

Hierkommiebokkie took control of the race early, galloped her rivals into the ground and had jockey Kabelo Matsunyane looking over his shoulder for a challenge, 150m out. She won by 2.75-lengths from Duenna.

"She's nicely poised for the forthcoming feature season. A big thank you to Mayesh Chetty and Braam van Huyssteen for sending her to us," said Corne.

Matsunyane said: "I think she will stay a mile. She races with confidence. When she got to the front, she pricked her ears and extended."

Hierkommiebokkie is a four-year-old filly by Master of My Fate from Ooh La Var, by Var, bred by Chetty. She has won four of 15 starts, with three places.
